Sunshine At Last

It turn out to be a beautiful day here, after days of rain. Still has some warming up to do, but amazing how a little sunshine can brighten the outlook on the day. Clean up all but one of my tomatoes plants. Maybe, just maybe last few will ripen up or turn into fried green tomatoes no the less. Pick my last two cantaloupes and dead headed my daisies and hostas.

I find myself with a thankful heart tonight for the sunshine and the rain.
All the best,
Shawn

  2. I kind of like this time of year, deadheading and cutting things back. It gives me a sense of closure of the gardening year, I think.

    All the best to you,
    Diane

  4. Thanks for comments on My Reading List. I don't think my choose of books are for many, I am reading books that are dark and light to keep from being anxious about what is in our real world now. I know God is in control and I pray to keep stress from my soul.

  5. You can't hope for much more than fried green tomatoes in life. I only discovered them a couple of years ago - lush. Glad you got some sun. We'e having an amazing Indian summer here - it's just going on and on. Weird but not unwelcome.

  6. I'm glad that my blog was a help to your family on their recent visit to my country. Do hope they had or are still having a great time.

We need to clear out green tomatoes out of the greenhouse too.

  7. I tried to reply yo your question but you are set up as 'no-reply'.

Beach huts - depends. In some places they are just to rent for day or week while on holiday and in other places they are privately owned and people use them when they go for the day. Cannot overnight in them. They can be quite expensive. Up to £10,000

  8. Yes we had a lot of trick and treaters here this year. The USA influence is taking over. We do not agree with it, neither do the other 16 households from our church in the street and we heard one group of kids say, "this is a lousy street"!!!!
